TEXTILES AND ACCESSORIES

The textiles and accessories category includes a number of Persian carpets, two monumental tapestries produced in the 18th century depicting Force and Justice respectively, a collection of liturgical textiles, fans and walking sticks - one of which was a gift from Marshal Ney to Emperor Napoleon I!

One object in particular stands out in this category for its preciousness: a brooch entitled the Winged Orchid, made of gold, enamel, pearls and precious stones, and produced in 1901 by the Brussels silversmith Philippe Wolfers.
